VR Lab

The VR Lab started at the beginning of 2017 as a (co)working space for VR professionals and an experience facility where organizations could experience VR. We soon started to develop new VR applications and customer VR development became more prominent quickly and the VR Lab organization started to grow.

Our focus then shifted almost entirely to developing innovative VR, AR and MR applications for various industries in 2018. What remained was our curiosity, exploration and lots of experimentation. For our customers we developed many effective, affordable VR applications that are easy to use and unique.

Mid 2022 we changed course! With Virtual Life Support™, the ultimate resuscitation training, we have embarked on a new and exciting journey. A journey of developing off-the-shelf Virtual Reality software, exploring the boundaries of what is currently possible and where VR is most effective for applications that will suit many industries and many customers.

Virtual Life Support™

Device Compatibility: Meta Quest, PICO

Virtual Life Support™ is a Virtual Reality CPR training module that prepares people to provide CPR in the real world.

Existing CPR courses let you train your technique, but no amount of classroom training can truly prepare you for encountering someone unconscious on the ground. With virtual reality we can close the gap between classroom training and the real world unlike any other tool, giving people the confidence to act when there is a life on the line.

Key features to try out:

  • Intuitive to use without controllers
  • Measurement of CPR performance
  • Implements the BLS CPR guidelines
  • Fully integrated virtual AED
  • Save training results to the cloud

Learning objectives:

  • Assess a rescue situation
  • Recognize a cardiac arrest
  • Know what to do in event of a cardiac arrest
  • Perform Basic Life Support according to the guidelines
  • Perform high quality CPR: get depth and frequency of chest compressions right
  • Be able to use an AED

To get the most out of Virtual Life Support a manikin or similar object should be used. Virtual Life Support will allow you to align the manikin in an intuitive way with the virtual victim using pass through. If you do not have a manikin available you should just select the first option (Little Anne) as your manikin. You will still be able to go through the simulation but will not be able to get the real “feel” of giving compressions.
