Virtual Life Support
Immersive CPR training — from classroom to real-world readiness
Virtual Life Support
Virtual Life Support is the CPR training application developed by VR Lab, a Dutch VR studio
founded in 2017. VR Lab started as an experience facility and quickly grew into a full VR
development studio, building effective and affordable VR applications for healthcare, safety,
and education. In 2022, we shifted focus entirely to Virtual Life Support — our off-the-shelf
product and our singular mission.
Virtual Life Support is a VR training application that prepares people to perform CPR in the
real world. Existing CPR courses build technique, but no amount of classroom training can
truly prepare someone for encountering an unconscious person on the ground. Virtual reality
closes that gap, giving trainees the confidence to act when a life is on the line.
The application runs on standalone VR headsets (Meta Quest and Pico Enterprise), can be
used without an internet connection, and is used across healthcare, education, public safety,
and workplace training contexts. It trains the full Basic Life Support algorithm, including AED
use, using hand tracking, no controllers needed. Training results can be tracked via ArborXR
Insights, giving instructors and organisations visibility into performance and progress.
