Cessna 172: Intro to Aviation
Students explore the iconic Cessna 172 at their own pace, from an overview of career paths to hands-on work on a full-size virtual aircraft. Each part comes with its definition, why it matters and the risk if it fails, so students learn how the aircraft works and what to look for.
Four guided modules:
- Intro to Aviation Careers: 9 careers in 4 categories, each with an animated video on responsibilities, salaries and opportunities
- Aircraft Familiarization: explore the hangar and the Cessna 172's key areas and parts, then take a knowledge check
- Pre-Flight Check: as a pilot, walk around the aircraft completing the official checklist and find randomized squawks
- General Visual Inspection: as a technician, complete a full GVI, identify squawks and decide whether the aircraft can fly
Built for Part 147 AMT schools, community and technical colleges, high school aviation programs, and airline and MRO training. Content is aligned to FAA Airman Certification Standards. Modules run 30 to 45 minutes each on Meta Quest, using controllers or hand tracking. Annual site licenses include unlimited users and headsets plus up to 4 hours of training, with special pricing for ATEC members. Contact AttainXR for pricing or an in-headset demo.
