Non Nocere

Medical students and doctors are exposed to live patients to acquire the necessary skills in medical education. There is also a necessity to provide optimal treatment and to ensure patient safety and well-being. These two needs can sometimes pose a dilemma in medical education. In addition, while physicians can benefit from the latest technologies while performing surgery, it is impossible to benefit from the same advantages when it comes to teaching surgery.

At Non Nocere, we offer an immersive learning experience that helps residents develop their cognitive and psychomotor skills to improve their ability to perform a range of surgeries efficiently and safely.

Surgeon training in a virtual reality environment allows learners to develop their skills in a controlled environment while minimizing risks associated with patient safety and resource use. Our multi-user virtual reality platform, accessible remotely when needed, allows educators to use the latest technologies to teach and evaluate while allowing students to access education whenever they want.

Testimonials

“By designing an environment which combines cutting edge visualization tools with real cases and knowledgeable instructors, Non Nocere has created a product which will be of immense value for learners on an ongoing basis.”
– Jeremie Larouche, MD, MSc, FRCSC, University of Toronto Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Head of Spine Surgery

“Non Nocere’s learning platform allows us to literally ‘experience’ clinically relevant anatomy and surgical techniques. Complex surgical procedures can be learned without risk and the students can be optimally prepared.”
– Dr. Maximilian Reinhold, Göttingen University Medical School, Department of Orthopedics, Traumatology and Plastic Surgery

“This will profoundly improve medical training and practice and thereby improve patient outcomes. Physicians at every level of practice, from intern to expert clinician, will be better prepared to handle routine and emergency situations in clinical practice.”
