How Mitsubishi Electric is Creating Innovative VR Training with ThingLink
Mitsubishi Electric UK manufactures products and solutions for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Have historically created/delivered a high volume of training content and courses via blended learning.

Challenges: Lack of available trainers, only two training centers.

Solution: ThingLink training delivered via Meta Quest 3 headsets and other platforms.

Benefits:

  • Fast and easy content creation. Reused some existing content.
  • Increased engagement – “immersive and fun”
  • Cumulative cost-savings of £211,870, which included travel and accommodation costs, materials and catering. MEUK estimates that 462,600 travel miles were also saved.

Innovative VR Safety Training at Stora Enso with ThingLink and Meta Quest
Stora Enso: The company employs over 22,000 people and operates around the world.

What: Safety training for forklift drivers and other warehouse employees.

How: 3D Talo developed VR simulation training delivered via Meta Quest headsets. ThingLink built initial training on how to use the headsets and VR content, and the interactive tests that employees would complete afterwards. Includes multi-lingual versions for global operations.
