AVRT Law Enforcement

AVRT is a cutting edge, fully immersive and free-roam VR system designed for the training of Police Officers in scenarios that may be difficult or prohibitive to simulate otherwise. Developed with feedback from over 80% of UK Police forces, AVRT allows trainers to create simulations that test performance in situations up to and including the use of lethal and less-lethal force.

The AVRT system is a delivery method for pre-existing Curricula and Frameworks such as the College of Policing curriculum which is delivered using the instructors’ own skills and experience in fully-dynamic, controllable scenarios. These adaptive attributes of the system enable users to hone skills and behaviours during formative training whilst pre-scripted scenarios allow repetition for assessment.

Firearms and less-lethal physical weapons, detailed environments and an extensive library of characters, weapons and situations allow the instructor to build a training simulation that’s tailored to the exact learning outcomes desired. Familiar weapons and devices takes the user adaption time to virtually zero, allowing trainees to focus immediately on the content and the learning.

AVRT offers huge cost-saving potential; from single use items such as ammunition and CED cartridges, to reduced staffing and safety officers, to travel and accommodation costs. The system allows organisations to increase and improve the quantity and quality of training without incurring further costs.

First person and full 3D replays, body positioning and metrics such as distances and shot placement come together to provide effective feedback methods that aren’t possible with traditional training.
